This steak has become popular in recent years as an economical and flavoursome cut. Flat Iron Steak is taken from the shoulder and trimmed carefully to produce a lean cut with light marbling. It is perfect for cooking medium-rare.
All our beef is grass-fed and sourced either from our own Somerset farm, or from other British farms who share our values. For depth of flavour, our beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days.

"A handsome looking steak, this is beautifully browned and has a great marbled texture. The flavour is excellent with buttery aged notes and plenty of iron richness. You can taste the grass. There is length on the finish. It is clear to us that the husbandry and butchery are excellent."

There were wonderful grassy notes on the palate and the texture melted in the mouth but had enough bite to allow the beefy notes to linger and fill the senses. There was plenty of juiciness that filled the mouth with exquisite beefy notes. Subtle caramelisation added to the delight."
storage instructions
Keep refrigerated once delivered and consume by the use-by date. If frozen before expiry, our meats can be frozen and used within three months. Defrost fully before use. Do not re-freeze.
